After running the farm for 80 years, the third generation of Solano family now remains one of the prominent innovator in cultivating Costa Rican honey and natural processing method.
Natural processing at Las Lajas came about somewhat by accident. When an earthquake hit the region & the farm left without electricity in 2008, the Chacón Solano family decided to continue processing the coffee cherries with the method requiring least additional energy input.
Thus, the very first natural coffees of Costa Rica were born.
Tasting notes: tropical fruits, pineapples, & intense sweetness.
