HOW TO MAKE
FRENCH PRESS COFFEE

preheat the vessel

measure out (see table) and grind the coffee to the size of coarse sea salt

discard preheat water, put in coffe grounds and fill with correct ration of water, making sure to saturate all coffe grounds

set timer to 4 minutes

put top on without pressing down to retain heat

at 4:00, remove top, break the crust and stri slightly, using spoon, remove remaining layer of floating coffee grounds

replace top and press down slowly & carefully, being forceful may cause hot coffee to spurt out.

serve all coffee immediately, if the coffee sits on the grounds too long, it continues to extract and will become bitter.

we prefer using freshly heated water to 90o c
